Many novices in playing Farmville are not aware that they can actually expand their farm land. For you to have an idea on how you can make your farm land bigger read through this article.
As of the moment, there are only five Farmville land expansion since the last land upgrade is not yet available. Let’s discuss every land upgrade and know what is needed in order for you to upgrade your farm land.

Homestead Size 14 x 14
This is the initial land upgrade. The Homestead land expansion is 14 x 14 in size. So as for you to upgrade into this land, you will have to pay 10,000 coins. Also, you need to have at least 8 neighbors. If the number of neighbors you have is less than 8, then you are not yet eligible for this upgrade, though you have the money to pay for it.
Family Farm Size 16 x 16
This is the second land upgrade with the land size of 16 x 16. You will need to pay 25,000 coins for you to upgrade into this land expansion. You need to have 10 neighbors.
Big Family Farm Size 18 x 18
This land upgrade can be acquired if you already have 13 neighbors and have upgraded your land before. You can use your coins or your farm cash to upgrade into this land. If you will use the coins for the land upgrade, you will need 50,000 coins. If it’s the farm cash that you will use, you only need 20 and no particular number for neighbors is required.
Plantation Size 20 x 20
You can use either your coins or your cash to buy the Plantation upgrade. To buy this land upgrade, you will need to pay 75,000 coins. If you will use your cash, you will need 20. You will need to have 16 neighbors to use your coins in upgrading into this land.
Big Ole Plantation Size 22 x 22
Big Ole Plantation is the newest land upgrade so far. You can purchase this land upgrade for 250,000 coins and you will need to have at least 20 neighbors. If you will use your Farmville cash, you only need 30.
Might Plantation Size 24 x 24
This is probably similar to that of Big Ole Plantation upgrade. But, this land upgrade is not yet available.
If you haven’t bought any land yet, follow these directions on purchasing Farmville land. Log in to your Farmville game and click the icon the represents the Market in your toolbar. When the Market opens, go to the expand farm button. After the expand part opens, you can see the various Farmville land expansion. If you match the requirements, you can see the Buy button found underneath the land upgrade. Click the button for your initial land upgrade. There is a box that will open and will inform you that you have selected the land. To complete the purchase, you need to click the Accept button. Then, your land will be upgraded.
